Finally someone who can keep up!

Keb and Baker came for a short visit this past weekend and the boys had a blast!
The last time they were here was the weekend Max started walking, so for Baker, he was still a little boring. Now that they can run and play in sync it is a whole new world! The chaos is multiplied for the rest of us though! Anything Baker did Max would try to do-it was a blast to watch and I really wish they lived closer. Max would be talking in a week if he had Baker around! Even just since they left he has changed-he tries to imitate our words a million times more now than before and I attribute it directly to Baker and Max's adoration of him. Fascinating!

He LOVES the tire swing and as a mom I can say-Keb, you are brave! It made me nervous to watch. But his face says it all!

Maybe a little scared but having way to much fun to admit it...

Thanks for visiting you guys-we miss yall and always look forward to your visits! (Baker-Max has been wandering around Nonnie's house lifting his hands and saying "huh" in each room looking for you!-Come back soon!)

Just a bunch of fun

The following is just a random mix of things I found cute and felt the need to share.
Enjoy!
Above:104 degree temp-still too cute!
Below:Just a swimmin. He was blowing bubbles and kicking just like a big boy!
Below: His first experience with sidewalk chalk. It goes like this-draw a line, move to another spot, draw a line, repeat...then get in trouble for trying to draw on the car-BAD!

Above:first fully successful self feeding of spaghetti-this mess is to be ignored, the fact that a majority made it into his stomach is what makes this a success! And if you can't tell-he was quite proud!
Below:Very sleepy, just waking up, am now full of milk boy!
Below: Just cute!

Above: Reading before bed-why should mommy always be the one to interpret the books?
Below: Jammies make the boy SUPER cute!

Above: Wrestling with mommy-I am pretty sure that move is illegal! (and painful!)
Below: Tickle tickle!

Birthday fun

Little Miss Abby turned 1 and Max got to attend his first REAL birthday party...this is how it went...

"Hi Abby, I like your toes." "Thanks Max, but do you really have to touch them?"

"Dad, how come Abby gets to sit way up there and I am not the center of attention?"

"This is what it is all about!"

~Quite happy to be the Princess~

And this is what the Boy would rather be doing during a all girl, pink, Abby Caddaby birthday-digging in the dirt with the pink spoon he was given and the Abby Caddaby paper cup he stole!

Such a guy!

A few more firsts...

We finally got around to bringing Max to the park for the first time. He was...shall we say...less than impressed. He loved the wood chips on the ground but the swing-coulda been a tourture device and the slide=eh=so-so. But I took all the necessary "first time" photos and then we moved on.

I am so Blessed!

Cody and my sisters live to antagonize each other! A family tradition is to work through Lent making smash-em eggs. You poke a hole in each end of an egg and then blow out the contents as you use them-like for scrambled eggs. (this obviously doesn't work for hard boiled!) Then you dye them the same as always and finish by stuffing them with confetti. On Easter you "try" to be sneaky and you smash them on everyone else. Cody REALLY gets into it! So-he pretty much owned my sisters!

All of us sisters!

Gracie and I

The camera makes them do strange things!
Dang sisters! We are FINE! I really do have the most beautiful sisters!

Me and the hubby! Its been 3 years, 5 months and one baby and we still seem to like each other ok! lol!

I am so Blessed!

Formal Pics

Each year (this being the 2nd year in a row) we are going to try to make it a point to get (semi) formal pictures taken as a family. My sister Grace took the ones last year and they turned out great. So, it only made since to con her into doing it again for us this year. I might add-Grace, they turned out GREAT again! If the whole "nurse career" thing doesn't work out-you might have a future as a photographer !

These were just a few of my favorites-Max did pretty well, considering it was nap time and lunch time all at the same time!

Bwt: This is was us a year ago. WOW!

The start of Easter!

I should preface the next few posts with this:Easter=the most snap-happy holiday in our family! This simply means that the next 3 or so posts will just be pictures of our Easter goings on!
ENJOY-I know we did!

We started the festivities off by going up to the top of Mt. Magazine to have dinner with the Baker faction Sat night. Yummy food as usual and Max got WAY TOO MANY gifts-as usual! lol! We are seriously going to have to have a talk about this-it is kinda outta hand! (They were all great though-and the lawn mower is perfect!)

Easter morning! Max got to start his day off going through his basket from the Easter Bunny. A car, watering can, sidewalk chalk, eggs full of Chex Mix, little baggies of cookies and crackers. We opted to go the snack route instead of candy-at least for this year and next. Max knows what chocolate is and would probably trade me in for one or two M & M's but he just really doesn't need it and if he doesn't know it is an option than the cookies will work just fine.
The eggs full of Chex were the hit! He seemed to think he had to shove every piece in his mouth at once or we were going to put it up-thus the chipmunk effect!
Had to get in one wagon ride before Mass.
