Baking cookies!

I decided that I am going to have to practice cooking with Max or else I will quickly gain back all the weight I have lost. Right now I seem to be resorting to take out and ready-to-eat food, like frozen meals and pizza-yum. So, what better way to get back on the right track than to throw together some fresh hommade chocolate chip cookies. lol! Oh well-it felt really good to get back to baking and I must say, holding Max the whole time did limit the amount of dough I got to eat!
Oh-by the way-it is singularly difficult to hold a baby and keep the mixing bowl still! The sound of the mixer seemed to really captivate the bebe though.

We will miss you Lepper Fam!!

A salute to Kim, Jer and Miss Samantha-Arkansas and the Lukas Family will miss you guys!

Max makes little Sam look even littler-I don't remember him ever being even close to that tiny! I am sad that we wont get to compare them as they get bigger-I am sure she will catch up very quickly!
Visit soon!

Playing Catch Up

I feel like I can't seem to catch up-everytime I get something on my neverending list done 3 or 4 things get added to it!
For the past week or so I have been meaning to get some new posts up-but alas-my efforts have been fruitless. So here are the cliffnotes:
  1. Max is in the 97th percentile for his height-27in
  2. He is in the 85th percentile for weight-16lbs 11oz
  3. He rolls over every time I start to change his diaper. FYI-that can get messy fast!
  4. My youngest sister graduated highschool! Congrats Audrey!
  5. My brother Finally came for a much needed visit.

hmmm....I feel like I am forgetting something....not a foreign feeling lol....oh well!

The Joys of Being a Mommy!

What happens when you have an incredible husband and a beautiful baby boy? A wonderful Mother's Day-thats what! Cody went to such trouble to make my first ever Mother's Day great-no generic poem or flowers for me. He apparently couldn't find a Mother's Day card to fit his specs so he bought a birthday card and customized it! Pair that with a pretty little necklace and the sweetest note inside and-ta-da!

On the inside Cody traced Max's hand and signed it from both of them-very sweet! What can I say-they are both keepers.

Officially 4 Months Old!

Well, I woke up last Friday with a 4 month old little boy! I can't beileve how much has changed in such a little time. Here is the official 4 month picture-such a big little boy!

Introductions-nice to meet you too!

Cody and I on our 2nd Anniversary (me about 6months pregnant!)

To finish introductions-this is Max...at 4am!

The start of it all!

Well-I am new to blogging so I have a feeling I will be starting off a little shaky. Cut me some slack and we will get along fine!

To get started I will have to lay a base, something of an introduction or explanation of where I come from. When I was in middle school and high school I kept a diary-it was my own type of therapy-so I now return to my therapy as a wife and mom. My husband, Cody, and I met in high school and got married after one year of college-we were both 20. That was 2.5 years ago and now we are almost 23 and have a son, Max. I guess that's it-now that you know the names of the main characters in the story we can move on. Enjoy...or don't, it's up to you! I know I will ;-)
